Based in the heart of Southwest Montana, Montana Stillwater Co. specializes in guided fly fishing trips on the legendary Hebgen Lake — one of the West's premier stillwater fisheries.

Our trips focus on targeting both brown trout and rainbow trout using a variety of proven stillwater tactics — from indicator nymphing and dry fly fishing to stripping streamers and chironomids. Whether you're new to fly fishing or looking to refine your stillwater skills, our trips are designed to be approachable, educational, and productive.

Brian is the founder and guide behind Montana Stillwater Co. A passionate stillwater angler based in Southwest Montana, Brian has spent countless hours studying and fishing Hebgen Lake. His deep knowledge of the lake's hatches, structure, and seasonal patterns — combined with his approachable teaching style — makes every trip both productive and educational, regardless of your experience level.
